Responsible for the EOM business (Sourcing of Ge and Optics, Sales of High Purity Chemicals plus exploration of Refining & Recycling opportunities) in China in order to ensure that all goals, sales budget, strategies, vision set by the management of Business Unit EOM is met.

Responsible for the maintenance and development of customer portfolio and prospect in order to build up and strengthen EOM‘s leading position in China market.

Main responsibilities:
Sales & Marketing:
1. Develop and implement commercial sales and marketing strategies for the BU in China and achieve BU's goals in the key financial performance indicators.
2. Continuously seek growth opportunities in new customers, new products, new applications and new industries.
3. Establish and maintain effective strong supports with existing/potential customers, conduct key account management.
4. Manage, organize and participate in the trade show, forum, workshop and other marketing activities to develop and maintain the business and product image in the region.
5. Participate, coordinate business trips with &/or without BU principles in an effective manner.

Customer Relationship Management:
1. Maintain healthy and sustainable relationships with existing suppliers.
2. Support back-office in minimizing delivery time and ensuring zero hick-ups in the delivery process.
3. Organize and accompany supply related trips in China.

Market Information Excellence:
1. Become the expert on the Chinese germanium market by having a thorough understanding of all players and their capabilities.
2. Be ‘the first to know’ of all new developments in the market.
3. Develop new insights on Chinese market dynamics.

Logistics & Duties Management:
1. Build expertise on all logistical aspects of Chinese import-export issues around germanium containing material.
2. Actively support business development projects and propose new creative set ups to take advantage of accumulated expertise. 

Reporting:
1. Review, analyze and report commercial performance periodically (monthly,
quarterly) against set budget and recommend corrective action to improve
performance in the ensuing periods.
2. Establish and maintain the timely database/reporting system, provide the industrial commercial information and overview in the region.
3. Develop and update the competitive intelligence report on regular basis.

Strategic Supporting:
1. In collaboration with the management team of EOM to identify potential
partnership and cooperation projects in China.
2. Provide effective support to the BU management team and GM of commercial activities, participate actively in business proposals to enhance the overall business performance in China.
3. Support BU’s strategies and ad-hoc projects.

Required profile:
Functional requirements  (Education, years of experience in different areas, technical skills, …)
1. Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical, Science or Business.
2. 5+ years sales and marketing experience in related industry.
3. Good knowledge and sharp business acumen of the concerned market and industries.
4. Effective interface between the commercial team and the customers.
5. Leadership skills to build and manage a high-performing commercial team.
6. Customer oriented and strong in building up & maintaining customer relations.
7. Fluent in both oral and written English (CET level 6 minimum standard).
