Purpose of
the job(Describe in 1 sentence the reason for the existence of this
position)
1. The jobholder is responsible for the Sales within
Greater China (PRC China & Taiwan) of PVD materials for Photovoltaic,
Display and Glass coating (LAC), who also contributes to the development of the
product portfolio and support the LAC sales effort for other regions (quotation
etc.), while taking full accountability on the realization of the sales and
premium targets defined in the BL’s OP plan for Greater China
region.
Main responsibilities(Describe main areas of

Business Strategy(5%) :
In close collaboration with the Sales Director,
the jobholder gives input and actively participates in the definition of the
commercial policy and gives input towards the annual sales budget and associated
contribution margins within his region
Sales & Customer Management(65%) :
The jobholder assures effective contacts with customers, understands and
responds to customers' technical & commercial requests with the assistance
of his regional sales organization. Will coordinate sales efforts with his team
(direct reports) to ensure that sales & market development objectives are
achieved. He/she assures responsiveness to customer inquiries and directly
negotiates contracts with Greater China key accounts and supervises negotiations
for all other sales contracts and manages key accounts.
Follows up on credit
lines and upon request from accounting, assists in the collection of overdue
receivables.
Manages the relations with customers within his/her geographical
area for his/her product portfolio, hence, appropriate customer visits and trade
shows participation will make up for min 50% of his working time.
Is
responsible for the technical support towards the customers, in collaboration
with members of the application technology/development/operations to satisfy
customer requirements.
Understands and reports on market dynamics, customers
and competitors. He/She maintains an up to date customer data base listing
material needs, expected development, sourcing allocations and pricing. Monthly
reporting and regular visit reports are expected from him/her in order to
spread efficiently market knowledge within the business unit.
The
jobholder actively contributes to the Quality related matters. More
specifically, he/she manages the quality files requested by customers and
manages customer complaints, in collaboration with the quality
manager.
OEM collaboration(20%) :
Will ensure close coordination with all major
Chinese & Taiwanese OEMs to keep BL updated on their equipment sales &
new developments by frequent visits & meetings.
Product Management(5%):
Under this function, the person will also support & collaborate to
contribute technical inputs related to product design & end use, in
cooperation with GC Equipment makers. He will act as a link in finalizing /
fine tuning the product design between Providence team & GC Equipment
makers.
Marketing & Communication(5%):
Gives input and actively
participates for the marketing and communication strategy for his/her product
portfolio. Contributes to the definition of the marketing mix in his/her area of
responsibility, based on market analyses, in agreement with the Sales Director.
He/She organizes and participate to trade shows within his area.

Education :
1. Degree in Science or Technology with
degree or diploma in Business administration.
Know How:
1. Related
industries or other technical filed of LAC.
Working experience:
1. Minimum 7 years sales experience in the field of LAC.
2. Effective
interface between sales team and customers.
3. Customer oriented and
strong in building up & maintaining customer relation.
Language
skills:
1. Very good mastering of English and Chinese, knowledge of
additional languages (western or East-Asian) are a welcome asset.
